Why no kiss for Patty, Jay?

POOR Jay Chou.
The singer walked away with the Best New Performer award at the 42nd Golden Horse Awards in Keelung, Taiwan, last night.
But Jay, 26, who won for his celluloid debut as a racing enthusiast in the manga-adapted flick Initial D, found himself to be the butt of jokes throughout the evening.
He tried to divert attention from his relationship with Patty Hou to no avail.
First, the awards' producers poked fun at him with a hilarious pre-recorded spoof of a scene from Initial D.
It had Jay 'punching' the lights out of newscaster-girlfriend Patty, 28, who spoofed Chapman To's character.
Then, host Hu Gua went on to sock it to Jay with a merciless skit inspired by Kung Fu Hustle.
He and Patty impersonated Yuen Wah and Yuen Qiu's characters respectively in the live performance.
Hu Gua deliberately kissed Patty twice on the cheek on stage to further embarrass Jay.
Hu Gua then gloated: 'Jay Chou, what are you looking at? I asked you to kiss her on stage and you refused. So there!'
Offstage, Jay quickly picked up his awards booklet and pretended to hide behind it.
Even the grouchy Anthony Wong, who picked up his third Best Supporting Actor trophy for Initial D, joined in the fun.
He had earlier tried brokering a deal with Hu Gua to exchange his trophy for his 'son's girlfriend', Patty.
The Jay Chou-Patty Hou relationship was the butt of all jokes, while other lovebirds Chang Chen and Shu Qi, and Fann Wong and Christopher Lee got away scot-free.
But despite the teasing, Jay got his sweet revenge with his win.
After all, he was snubbed repeatedly in recent years when it came to winning the Golden Melody Awards - the music industry's Golden Horse equivalent.
Even Jay himself found it ironic.
Clutching his statue, the singer mumbled: 'I guess what I lost out in the Golden Melody Awards, I have won back here. I must really thank the judges for giving me such wonderful encouragement.'
He beat Singaporean Race Wong (of the sister duo 2R) and actresses Isabella Leong and Megan Lai to the award.
Jay didn't expect to win.
He said that he had planned to adjourn for supper - butter crabs from the Keelung night market - after the show to cheer himself up.
